Faith: When You Feel Like You Blew It
Scriptures for Today
Romans 8:38-39 — "For I am convinced that neither death nor life... will be able to separate us from the love of God."
Psalm 103:12 — "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
The Thought:
Failure feels loud. It tells you "You messed up too bad."
It tells you "God is done with you now."
It tells you "You disqualified yourself."
But that’s not the voice of your Father. That’s the voice of shame.
God has never once loved you because you got everything right.
He loves you because you’re His.
The cross wasn’t for perfect people.
It was for you and me. The ones who fail, who fall, who have to start over.
Peter denied Jesus 3 times. And Jesus still cooked him breakfast and said "Feed my sheep."
David messed up big. And God still called him "a man after My own heart."
The prodigal son wasted everything. And his Father was watching the road for him.
Your failure did not cancel God’s plan.
Your failure did not make God love you less.
Your failure did not move you out of His reach.
Sometimes God uses the broken pieces to show us how much we need Him.
And sometimes He uses them to show other people that He puts broken things back together.
You are not disqualified.
You are forgiven.
You are still called.
You are still loved.
Get up. Wash your face. Take Jesus’ hand.
He’s not standing over you with His arms crossed.
He’s standing with His arms open.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
When I feel like I blew it, remind me that Your grace is bigger. When shame whispers "you’re done," let Your Spirit whisper "you’re Mine." Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love. Pick me up, dust me off, and help me walk with You again today. In Your blessed name, Amen.
Today:
What failure are you letting define you?
Lay it at the cross and tell Jesus:
"I receive Your forgiveness. I receive Your love. I’m not disqualified."
Love,
Grace
