I could have been kinder.

I had a big fight today with my dad because I was overstimulated and underslept (not good excuses, I know, and I could have prevented it by keeping my mouth zipped).
Fast forward I was still pretty heated on my way to the gym, and when I got there, a beggar girl slapped her face across the window of my cab and planted it there. I felt that was pretty invasive, as I was about to open the door and leave the cab. Anyway, I waited for her to detach herself from the vehicle, and finally opened the door to leave. She started following me, asking me for money. She seemed no more than 12 years old. I felt frustrated and unsafe, as many times thieves use children to stop or distract people, while the rest of the group suddenly comes for your belongings on motor bikes. I didn't stop. The first time I asked her to stop following me, but when she didn't stop, I turned around while walking and asked her "it's such a shame that God gave you 2 hands and 2 feet, and you had rather beg than go to school or work. Is that what your parents taught you? Did they teach you to beg??"

She finally left me alone.

Now I'm wondering maybe if I should have asked her if she was hungry.

Maybe she just wanted some lunch.
