And it's the actions which speak the truth always not the words

No offense to the genuinely nice people out there but I rarely trust people that put on the 'good image', have sweet words and are super positive all the time for the reason you state. I've actually never gotten to know someone like that and not found a really dark side to them. To test them, like many trolls do, is evil and not what I'm talking about ... everyone has their breaking point of civility and we shouldn't try to test that as many evil people do. I just prefer real people, who show me all sides, at first... the good, the bad and the ugly. I respect that more.

@Catastrophe I agree with you. I don’t expect anyone to be perfect or positive all the time I actually feel more comfortable with people who are honest about who they are, because being real matters more to me than trying to look good all the time.

That's called life like they say
Some people come in your life as a blessing and others as a lesson.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@romell I like that... "others as a lesson"
Ann99 · 41-45, F
@romell I have had both in my life
romell · 51-55, M
@Ann99 everyone does
What about those who spread love when words say hate but actions reveal love? 🤔
Mindful · 56-60, F
@ElyssTTTrucks we are grateful for those... at least I am
Bklynbadboy12 · 36-40, M
I agree and i do my very best to steer clear of those people
TheHammer · M
I also believe that some people have a specific target in terms of those whom they think worthy of their love and compassion.
The same guy who looks at a person of a different ethnicity in disgust, might feel genuine compassion and care for someone belonging to the same group as his.
I guess we could call it a conditioned Goodness.
Ann99 · 41-45, F
@TheHammer Exactly Perhaps that’s what conditioned goodness is, compassion that extends only to those we identify with True goodness is tested by how we treat those we don’t.
TheHammer · M
@Ann99
Exactly!
Actions always speak louder than words. True love, kindness, and respect are shown through consistency, not just beautiful speeches. Protecting your peace and keeping your distance from negativity is sometimes the healthiest choice.
A kind heart is shown in how we treat people, especially when no one is watching. 😊

@Iknowyourouttheresomewhere Absolutely Sometimes you just need to say what’s on your mind and let it out. At the end of the day, people’s actions always tell you who they really are.

Mmhm. The ability to "see" or sense the real beneath the saccharine is indeed helpful. I don't easily fall for the over sweet obsequious words before actions and behavior.

@Magenta You’re doing the right thing

@InterdimensionalSideEye Thank you I feel the same People can say anything, but their actions always show who they really are And Iam glad you like my posts ❤
@Ann99 you are welcome❤ we learn and we become wiser from it. We need to learn to let go of people who don’t have good intentions from the get go.
Bleak · 36-40, F
Absolutely. A good heart doesn’t need to constantly prove that it is good.
Ann99 · 41-45, F
@Bleak Absolutely ❤

I was just thinking g and experiencing hatefulness yesterday...but it was blatant. Maybe I should be grateful because now I know to keep my distance. I wish I were stronger than that. But I'm doing good just to decide to stay away.
Ann99 · 41-45, F
@Mindful Honestly, I’ve been seeing a lot of this in real life too, and I have already distanced myself from many people because I just can’t tolerate that kind of negativity And today I saw the same kind of hateful behaviour here as well. It’s disappointing but sometimes distance really is the best choice for your peace.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@Ann99 May you find inner strength to stay positive🤗🎇🌺

@Ann99 one has to learn to drink nectar with poison that's the art of life else can't survive

Being disabused of our notions about other people can be very painful. I hope that who ever it was that hurt you is prevented from doing so in future. IF it was someone here on SW...remember...you can block them.
Ann99 · 41-45, F
@4meAndyou Thanks you that really means a lot You’re right, sometimes it’s just better to keep your distance.
