Woke up feeling utterly anxious and depressed AT THE SAME TIMEA and cannot figure out why

I feel like hopping and at the same time crashing. It's so frustrating. All I'm thinking about is the worst social situations I have caused due to my horrible social skills.

I could cry but I'm not going to.

I can't stop picturing myself as a failure.

I try to do everything right. I have worked really hard and achieved so so much. And yet my lack of social skills always always smack me right in the face to the point that my achievements are not respected anymore, and even mocked.

I wish I could just fit in, I don't want this to affect my career but it's getting too real now and it's affecting me to the point of being crippling.

But what are you doing to improve your social skills..

Because if nothing, you'll be constantly at this place in life.

@Magicianzini putting myself out there.
Socialising.

I just keep falling back when I'm at work.

Biochems blow through mysteriously I find. Sometimes I just ride them out like an old sailing ship in a storm.

Do you do any physical exercise or movement, any practice to release the tension from the body?
turningthekeys · 31-35, F
@Boeing yesterday I did.

I have decided that I should start running.

I do not fit in, and that makes me, "Me," and I am learning to love and cherish this.

@Iwillwait in theory, that sounds great, but in real life, we need to network and socialise.
While I really enjoy time spent with myself, doing things on my own, knowing that I'm happy with my achievements, talents and skills, not being able to blend with people has always affected me, and continues to affect me in terms of career and relationships. When you become the laughingstock at work because you stick out like a sore thumb, you won't exactly have a good time at work. You won't be able to network effectively because it's a really small world and people know people in the same field, and the word goes around.

They take so many jabs at me, that even if I'm happy with who I am, it obviously affects my feelings.

@turningthekeys I'm so sorry you're going this.

I do not look like anyone in my office or business for that mattrer, it took me a long time to develope, but I have.

I understand your concerns. I really do.

get a flare button that says "socially awkward" so they know it's not you it's just your personality? lol sorry i don't mean to make fun of your situation .. i know it's hard sometimes .. i was very shy for years but i'm far less so now .. maybe you just need a makeover.. people are extremely shallow unfortunately 😳
