"So you don’t believe in God? You don’t believe in Satan? Then what DO you believe in?”
That’s the question I get the most.
And honestly? I’m glad people are asking.
I believe the universe is not an accident.
Look around.
The way trees talk through roots.
The way your heart beats without you commanding it.
The way stars die so planets can be born.
The way humans and nature and time are all tangled together.
That’s too connected to be random.
Too intelligent to be chaos.
So yes. I believe there’s a Source behind it all.
An origin. A current. A design.
But I will not call it by the name your religion tried to sell me. And I will not let anyone put it in a box, give it rules, and use it to control me.
That’s my peace.
And if that Source showed up today?
I wouldn’t panic.
I wouldn’t hide.
I wouldn’t start begging.
Because a child who hasn’t stolen, lied, or hurt anyone doesn’t run when their parent walks through the door.
I live like that.
If there’s a Creator and they appear right now… I have nothing to cover up.
No fake prayers to remember.
No secret sins to explain.
I tried to be human.
I tried to be kind.
I tried to take responsibility.
That’s the whole résumé.
So what do I actually believe in?
1. I believe in myself.
Not ego. Not arrogance.
I believe I have the power to choose, to learn, to repair, to grow.
No invisible being is coming to do the work for me.
2. I believe in reality.
Cause and effect.
Action and consequence.
You plant corn, you get corn.
You hurt people, you get distance.
You show up, you get results.
No magic. Just physics and honesty.
3. I believe in us.
In human decency.
In conscience.
In the golden rule without needing a book to threaten us into it.
What I don’t believe in?
I don’t believe in a God who needs constant praise to feel secure.
I don’t believe in a Satan who needs to be blamed for every bad decision.
I don’t believe in fear as a foundation for morality.
I don’t believe peace should come with fine print.
The freedom in this...
When you stop outsourcing your life to heaven or hell, you start owning it.
No more “the devil made me.”
No more “I’m waiting on God.”
Just: I did this. I can fix this. I am responsible.
And that is terrifying… and liberating.
Truth is not protected by religion, but by principles and values.
The principle: Live in a way that you’re not afraid of truth showing up.
The truth: The universe is connected, but connection ≠ control.
The morality: Your character is your God. Your actions are your prayer.
By staying true to these principles, we protect our dignity, we end spiritual fear, and we contribute to a world where people do right because it’s right, not because they’re scared.
Dignity is answering for yourself.
Ending fear is when we stop performing for an audience in the sky.
A world of integrity is built by people who live well even when no one is watching.
