Isn't emotional numbing great?

Completed part of a course to divert myself from heartache. I am sufficiently distracted now.

Yay! Good job.
@SweetMae Is it a good thing?
Yup. I watched a guy rip a limb off a tree by parking his rig under it,- on purpose. He laughed at my anger, "Okay, okay lady! Whatever! You don't have to be upset. It wasn't on purpose. " I watched him do it.
That's an American. Rips things. Whatever!
I'm still not numb enough.

It does protect you. But it’s nice when you feel things sometimes , well, good feelings
@Younameit Me either. I only feel relaxed when I'm drunk, and I'm not drinking anymore.

@SinlessOnslaught You're going to feel relaxed sober eventually, it just takes a long time. Your brain chemistry will return to normal, you just forgot at this point what a normal brain chemistry feels like. Trust me. 💚
@Nightwings I hope so.

It's not. You have to lose yourself a bit. But I understand.
@MyMonstersAreReal What would you suggest
@SinlessOnslaught oh no bro. Im like the worst person in the world to be giving anyone any kind of suggestions when it comes to that. Im the poster child of how to not deal with PTSD and depression correctly.

Just know that I get it. I numb the pain a lot with weed, alcohol (don’t do this, im so proud of you for working so hard on not drinking, I’ve tried to walk away from alcohol so many times but it’s a crutch) sex with inappropriate people. Music, self harm, & several other bad choices.

Even though I’ve no suggestions I empathize completely and wish I had some suggestions or words to make it better because I hate seeing you suffering so greatly

You will be on my mind a little extra today. Give yourself some grace.

🤗
