the whispers of the wind

the drafts through locks of hair

the cool of the breeze in the night

the chirping of birds and crickets

fading away into the night

clashing in the distance

the burning of the heart and eyes

memories of happiness dance

behind the eyelids on replay

over and over the mind rolls it's scenes

oh for the breath of fresh air

the sun and the trees

the blue sky

dotted and flocking with birds

the bees at our feet among the tiny flowers of the grass

the hills rising and falling around us

the shade in the heat of the day

i hid behind the low wall.. soaking in the coolness

the hot winds of summer grant no relief

only a jump into the lake sea or river will suffice
