From March 26 to April 2, i'll be drinking instant coffee

Look at that, it even has the sugar and cream already a part of it, just pour that packet in my mug, grab a water bottle pour it in and nuke it for something like 2 minutes, i'll probably do it too long first time so it bubbles over and makes the inside of the microwave look like a rat exploded in it, but I got paper towels and stuff!!

In other things that aren't book related I had a nice warm shower earlier, water doesn't get hot though, but it's easier now, I used to struggle in finding the right balance with the hot and cold taps, but now I just use the hot tap, and my skin won't melt off like it would have long time ago.

In book related things I plan on choosing 36 other folks who wrote in the Christian tradition to keep Spurgeon company, i've tried twice this evening but it requires more thought.

And everyone here who watches reading sprint videos will know of Pomofocus, i'm using that!! It's a stopwatch for those who need an aid to concentrate on tasks. It's good to use that if all the reading sprint people are too good looking, because that just diverts your attention from the books!!

And so let's see here, is there anything else I need to say?

No I think this says all I wanna say for now, .... hey says a still small voice, mention 3 names as a teaser

ok, so there is indeed 3 specific names / things that are joining Charles, they are, drum roll

Joseph Caryl -- Monergism is slowly but surely putting up nice eBook editions of his Job series of messages, there will be 12 in all, and 3 are up as of March 19, they're quicker than a big name publisher would be.

Stephen Charnock -- his magnum opus The Existence and Attributes of God in the ebook editions of the splashy Crossway edition, with tons of supplemental stuff, one thing that bothers me is often a footnote says who he's referencing, but you wouldn't know he's referencing anything from the text itself, unless you knew the subject really well.

The Philokalia -- a collection of Orthodox monastic writings in 5 volumes, and 2 other like-minded collections a Russian version called Dobrotolyubie, and The Evergetinos. Few months ago while I was away from SW for a bit I went through a mini phase of Orthodox stuff, they have a neat slant on it all, some points some jolly bearded fellow on YT made, were well made and made me think, hmmm maybe they're doing things better than my Protestant heroes and influencers like Beeke, Piper and Carl Trueman. So it's good to have them in the mix, many other standalones there could fit here too, but Christianity must not take over the show, because when I get too much into it, I realize i'm not doing anything as I ought to, my heart is just not in it, the reason for all of this for me is unique only for me, no one else on planet earth could possibly share it. Besides nostalgia I don't know how to put it into words, perhaps there's to me an attractiveness to the message in it, a "how wonderful would that be" sentiment floating around in the mind.

But hangups about it all are more real to me than any fuzzy warm snuggly feelings it offers. It's a fusion, hate/love relationship where the terms hate and love are meaning something slightly different than what those words are commonly held to mean.

POMOFOCUS time now, yipeee!!!
