how should you react in the times someone disappoints you

whether that person doesn't do what you want them to do, doesn't give you the responses you're after etc and you feel disappointed, frustrated and even 'angry' with that person?

my loved ones, including my elderly mother told me ' you can't be in control of others, just like they can't control you'. and i understand, but i still find this problem of people disappointing you frustrating.

Your mom is right. Part of life is learning that we can’t expect things to go the way we want and that people will disappoint us time and again. But it’s okay!

When someone lets us down, it can be hard to tell if our expectations were too high. If their choice did not align with what we wanted, or if things just worked out for the best.

But it’s important to remember that we have to see other people’s perspectives and take those into consideration instead of allowing our feelings and emotions to control everything. You may find there is a silver lining to discover when things don’t go our way.
