Let it all go.
People who have greatness fall into their lap will always be afraid of losing it because they were never great, they merely happened upon it. Those who worked to earn every bit of greatness they know don’t have that fear, because they’re already great themselves.
The next time I’m struggling and wishing for something to save me. Some form of help or mercy. I must remind myself that these things won’t last until I achieve them on my own. Handouts enable the needy hands grasping them and encourage the shameful mouth that gorges itself upon any permission allowing every weakness of depravity to fester.
Not again. I don’t deserve this kindness. I won’t let myself take things that aren’t mine to take anymore. The only thing I can truly own will be the love I give once it no longer depends on what I receive. The more I put into something, the more I’ll get out of it and it’s time I start being generous instead of hoping for generosity.
If there is any further blessing I experience in this life, then let it come from the meaning I’ve found in the absence of everything that brought it to me, so it may be my turn to bring it myself.
