Doing it is annoying because it is cold and ice is hard and sharp. But once I clear it I can see out my car windows and that olden dude got at his water to clean his face!
I have stepped on ice and it broke. But the water was always very shallow, like less than an inch. Although I have walked on lakes covered in thick ice. Still dangerous! But amazing and surreal.
