Its okay to care, but you have to be intentional about it or it can burn you up.
You've got to learn to steer it like you steer a vehicle.
If its an endeavor that may be hopeless, transition care from the task at hand to the mission behind it. Move on to another task that will accomplish the same overarching goal.
If its a person who doesnt reciprocate, turn your care inwards. Care about yourself enough to let them go.
If it's the state of the world that has you down, focus your care to a level you can actually effect. Maybe your town, or just your neighborhood even.
Or perhaps even a single system that could use improvement.
Flexibility of mind and method is important to preserve a caring heart.
