Canncelled shows at the renamed Kennedy preforming arts center.. Justified?

If you agreed to preform at the Kennedy center of preforming arts and were later informed you’d be expected to preform at the Donald J Trump and John F Kennedy preforming arts center; would you still preform?
You had agreed to preform at the John F Kennedy center of the preforming arts.
I’d think I’d been spammed (someone’s trying to steal my bank info) and I never agreed to be associated with the Trump name likeness and brand. Bye!
Those preformers are owed their projected earnings.
The hostile takeover by Trump is being boycotted.
Sorry Donnie boy, “You are FIRED!” Has become “I QUIT!”.

Does CM still use the concept of doors with no locks on them?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie sorry not following you
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
One of the early concepts in the making of CM was that none of the doors to anyone's room had a lock installed on it. Is that same protocol still in place today?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie what’s CM ? And yes change is inevitable . I can still call things whatever I want though.
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
CM is Club Med.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie oh I didn’t go anywhere way too expensive to travel this time of year . I was joking about club med
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
I actually knew you were joking at the time you wrote that, only because I could sense that you weren't actually there!
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie I will be in San Juan in April
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
Vacation time or just a little gun-running among friends?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie A little R and R w a little contraband running too.
And I’ll be in Cleveland (unironically ) in Feb.
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
Cleveland is not the place to be in February, though I could always see the lights of Cleveland from my bedroom window when I still lived on the farm on the north side of Lake Erie! I always wondered if people in Cleveland could see my house!

@swirlie I’d love to do a road trip to Halifax this summer (14 hrs by car)
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
I've been to Halifax literally dozens of times, most were flights I'd taken and just one trip was a drive from Toronto.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie I’m thinking end of august . I’ll bring my surfboard and hope to surf cow bay. I’d love any recs
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
Are you an experienced surfer?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie since 1986
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt

Okay, that's good! There's a cautionary warning out to those who come to Cow Bay to surf, warning that it's very rocky... and I mean granite rock. As well, the water is very cold even in late summer due to the fact that you're actually surfing in the North Atlantic.

But if you end up getting the shitte smashed out of you from the rocks and your board gets destroyed from being shredded into toothpicks, take comfort in knowing that when you awaken from the trauma, you should find yourself washed-up onto on a very nice sandy beach which Cow Bay is otherwise known for.

And oh yes, they recommend a full wetsuit which apparently includes a rubber hood that goes over your head, plus rubber feet and gloves... even in August.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie water temps will be low 60’s end of august . A 3/2 mil wetsuit will be good and its prime swell season mixed w still warm summer temps. Wanna do a night in st John’s too to see the bay of fundy tide.
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
Okay, sounds good! The rock there is very sharp and is known to be the hardest granite on earth. Yes, there are different hardnesses of granite!

Just for clarification when you make that trip, keep in mind that St John's is actually located in Newfoundland.

Saint John however, is in New Brunswick where the Bay of Fundy is.

The way both are spelled (and spoken as well) will get you lost very quickly and could prove chaotic if you stop and ask for directions from the locals!
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@swirlie yes the one without the s at the end lol any idea why Nova Scotia has a Portuguese name ?
swirlie · 31-35
@AthrillatheHunt
'Nova Scotia' is not a Portuguese name. It is Latin for 'New Scotland'.
