What are your feelings on amassing a lot of useless possessions through life?

As a youngster, I collected books and related items on a certain subject, which have never even been unpacked since I moved into my current home touching five years ago. Have you ever disowned very personal items ,and did you do it easily ?

I often feel that way. I have many collections that make smile but I don’t work with them. Someone years from now is going to have to weed through it all.
