I will NEVER EVER EVER apologize for having feelings.

They are what make us human. They are what connect us. They are completely natural and real. It's actually science.

If you are someone who doesn't care about feelings, you are likely broken, not the people brave enough to feel and even braver still, to care about others feelings.

I can't wait for this generation of "feck your feelings" to die off. Even if there's no hope for humanity after the poison they spread, at least the stink of their shame won't fill the air.

I figure people are like volcanoes

the pressure builds up

you either vent or erupt

venting is safer for everybody

@Pretzel studies have found that venting doesn't actually help. It makes the anger continue longer because when you vent, you relive all the anger.

Obviously, exploding isn't helpful either, unless it is done alone where it can't harm anyone.

The best way to deal with anger is to do the opposite.

@Pretzel [@FoxyQueen] I think venting has its benefits. I can say from experience, being heard when I have been alone and silent a long time mattered to me. It helped me understand I exist. In the right environment among people who care, it matters.

These days we are explosive though and I understand why. If someone ripped me away from my child because of the color of my skin, I would kill everyone on the planet.

Regulating and harmonizing would be ideal, but we don't live in that world.
