Our news stations piss me off.
Featuring ad campaigns for eldery victims who survived the invasion of Ethiopia in 1935 like our country wasn't the ONLY one who indirectly supported it.
Or victims of Auchwitz like our intelligence community didn't know that millions of people were "missing" and like our immigration customs didn't turn away refugees—who plainly described to us on our own soil what was happening—and tell them to just go home and die.
I wouldn't have a problem with these campaigns if this same station didn't have that stupid narrative of us being the big hero instead of the fatass who sat around until mommy Earth called us off the couch to brush the chips off our shirt and actually go do something about the massive atrocities being committed.
We did nothing for these people and now we're like, "We need to help the victims, they had it so hard." YEAH they had it hard because YOU ignored their ass for WAY too long. Just like we do NOW when people have indescribable things happen to them today. We've done the bare miminum and learned NOTHING.
I'm not watching it anyway, someone near me is and I'm refraining from ranting to them by posting here. Sorry lol. But kinda not. I'm angry that these things still happen and we don't care.
