The joy of a new blade
The other day the blade on my bandsaw broke. I was kinda using it for the wrong purpose, cutting aluminum and pressing too hard. It was supposed to be a wood/metal blade, but guess it heated up or something.
I put a new blade in today. I think this one is wood only. I then cut a piece of wood and holy crap, what a difference, goes through it like butter.
The feeling is very satisfying.
A while ago I picked up a Japanese kitchen knife. One of those that are made from <guessing> 50 layers of metal or something. The thing just never gets dull, it's amazing, but have to be careful with it, really too sharp when new.
