Is anyone really happy with the shade of their skin colour?

The darker people want to use Fair and Lovely in the hope of lightening their skin and the fairer people want to sleep in the sun or even use fake tans to darken theirs.

Why?

Good observation, I have always thought I was pale and I use self-tanner on occasion. And I have always wanted dark eyes but I'm Scandinavian, so blue-green with have to do. --DW
