Whenever I talk about films, take these thoughts into consideration

My past, and not my present was when I appropriated a semblance of knowing what fine films are, or in more cases was.

There was a time before this, before late 2004.

Movies had a place for me before this time, and it is made up mostly of the kinds of films normal people treasure, and it is these that are being viewed afresh these days. Those were nice times when they were initially enjoyed, and the films themselves are reliable, that is a nicer word to use than predictable.

Predictable has become what I was raving about the most during my snobby past.

However some of the most unique faves are in this current mix, and I approve of them, they played with form and visual density. Things normal movies don't do, and the reliability is now approved even more, there's a sensation like stability they add to the minutely assembled mixture of the Trinity of Aesthetics .... what is needed is all sorts and not just what was formerly seen as containing a monopoly on aesthetics, meaning that there's another way that aesthetics play out, which aren't always on such bold and assertive display as say Daisies from Czeckhoslavia (sorry for spelling this wrong, it always trips me up) in 1966, one, or just I, require a few 90s thrillers, 90's rom coms, along with some silent era timelessness, which was the last major phase in film appreciation.

My film appreciation is thus under construction, until I can regularly properly watch them, for at least 15 more months this construction will be going on, with a possibility of some fundamental experiences scattered lightly about where a new appropriation of the moving image can be established.

My insight on film is thus evaporated completely, I know nothing anymore about it, but in 15 months at the earliest I might be able to talk about it in ways that are genuine and authentic.
