Short term plus of a rapture

I don't believe in the rapture even when i'm thinking under the umbrella of Christianity, my main theological fellows don't see eschatology that way, but i grew up in a rapture frenzy kind of home, to be supercilious a non-frothing at the mouth rapture believer won't be setting dates, but with that out of the way, let's say it comes about, if i know my book of Revelation, or at least the teachings that droned on in my youth, is that there'll be 3 and a half years of peace and sunshine, so live it up folks!!! Try not to dwell on the next 3.5 .......:)

That 3 and a half years is an interpretation of what scripture says.. It is not actually said in the book of Revelation...

And as for the rapture it is in the Bible.. But the difference of opinion is about it's timing.. The theory that gets most air play is the Pre-tribulation rapture which is liked because it is an escapist doctrine.. People want to believe they are going to be beamed up out of this world before the proverbial hits the fan..

I believe the rapture will happen on the day of the second coming of Jesus.. So thats post tribulation.. Well bad things will be happening to the army of the beast at the return of Jesus but not to the Saints returning with Jesus..

The Rapture is just more made up Christian heresy popularized by Americans, like Zionism.

@GeistInTheMachine Yep!! Nothing like it was taught before the 1800s.
