Does everyone reaaally hate their job but just stay in it and gaslight themselves into liking it ?

Does everyone really hare their job ? I sed colleagues going not just the extra mile but an extra 200 miles for their job knowing it won't lead to a raise or anything. I *despise* this job, thinking of having to do it for another year gives me physical pain. I hate it so much. I've been doing it for a few yrs now and I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I hope I'll be able to leave soon
But seriously is this level of hate towards your job normal ? Do people gaslight themselves into liking miserable jobs where they have to be cheerful and talk... ?!

People who work in automobile assembly plants go through this all the time. In fact, most have psychological issues because of the repetitive nature of the work, yet they stay there because it pays well despite hating every moment of it.
@swirlie I had no idea. I really don't want to say. I don't feel like I'm physically capable of it. I actually would love a tedious job that requires little to no human contact for a couple of years. I think that would heal me. I don't want it to be hard work. Just simple and tedious

What is the nature of the work that you're currently doing?
@swirlie I don't want to say here but it involves talking to lots of people with a smile on your face every single day

Okay, I can see where that would wear thin!
