I think most people here have family and friends they can talk to in real life

And just come here to respond to people with the first thought they have instead of a well thought out answer or at least a discussion.

For some of us, when we close our phone or computer, we're alone.

Yeah that used to be me too, from I was 18 till 26-27. For some of this time, I was also living on the opposite side of the country where I knew no one, because I had to move twice, and the second place was so dead there wasn't even a bus to anywhere.
