I'm the only person in my family who says sorry.

If someone gets frustrated with them, they just assume it's because they want to pick a fight and not because they may genuinely have a reason to be upset.

And then if I apologize for getting upset, they take it as an admission of guilt and continue insisting that everyone around them changes.

I regret trying to explain myself to one of them tonight.
