What and how much do you 'read into' emoji reactions to your posts and comments?

Poll - Total Votes: 15
Just a courteous acknowledgement, nothing more.
I take every one of them literally.
I analyze them to the point that I toss and turn at night.
I don't take any of them personally.
I don't know, but there aren't enough of them.

Or if someone ♥'s a comment or post that you don't like?

More often than not, I take them at 'face value'. Those that are not just a courteous acknowledgement, don't generally require any "analyzing" at all.
@Piper In my opinion there are not enough emotions represented to take them at face value.
For example, when I wish to give an 🙄 but it's not available, I will use the surprise or smile emoji.
I take most of the reactions I receive as an acknowledgement or a 'thank you' for showing interest and taking the time to comment.

@RogueLodyte I was referring to the emojis that are currently available as a way to react to...acknowledge posts and comments.

Since there is no just "like" option available, I figure the "♥" can mean that someone actually does love a post or comment, likes it, or is just giving a courteous acknowledgement of input. Neither do I assume someone is actually laughing out loud if they choose the big grin emoji, as opposed to just finding it amusing.

Emoji's make it a little more personal especially if you're joking around so you put a laugh emoji so the person doesn't take it seriously 🤪
@Lilymoon I've seen that a lot of women never use a♥emoji. I'm thinking it's because they don't want any of these desperate, lonely perverts to think she "loves" them. Then she will have a stalker on her hands.
Not many people have a sense of humor these days, so the 'joking' emoji is a must. A lot of times they still don't get it. Then when you say "I was JOKING", they call you a narcissist.🤭🙄
Here are the 'reaction' emojis we REALLY need on this site. 🙄🤦 😖

@RogueLodyte Yes! Especially the 🙄
@Magenta Every other site I've been on has the eyeroll reaction. I wonder why this one doesn't?
Probably afraid that some ultra sensitive internet social misfit will be offended. We must stay toxic positive to promote good will, dontchaknow. 🙄🙄🙄

I don't take emoticons seriously here, nor much of the written word.
