Yes, it's possible - as long as it eventually becomes about you - Doing it for yourself doesn’t have to be the starting point, but for the change to last, it needs to shift at some point..
Like, if you quit a bad habit for someone else, and the whole time you’re doing it out of spite or pressure, that frustration can start to turn against them. You may begin to resent the change itself - and eventually, fall back into the same habits..
But if you start a good habit (or quit a bad one) for someone else, and over time begin to feel the benefits - maybe you feel better, see yourself differently, or start to take pride in the change - then you’re more likely to stick with it. Because now you want to, not just because they wanted you to.
That’s the difference.
