I'd rather be sad than angry
The kind of sadness i mean is like music, a bittersweet nostalgia, like a drug, numb to things, whereas anger cannot last long, but can feel long, exhausting, and like catching all the viruses in the air, violently puking and a whole lot of other disgusting bodily functions going awry.
Now there are some opposites for them, with sadness you can be in a turmoil, and with anger you can set some things right.
It's to do with the kind of person you are, and for me sadness would just suit my nature better, with a lyrical musicality, gazing out a window where it's foggy, and large European bovines slowly shuffle around.
At the end there i am thinking of the beginning of Werner Herzog's Heart of Glass which has the best mournful yodelling i ever heard.
