When I was a teen, I was really unstable and self-concerned. I struggled with depression, an eating disorder, and alcoholism. I was often mean and unrealistic, and ended up in an abusove relationship for four years. I was living on my own from sixteen, and with my abusive partner from seventeen on. Things weren't good, and I wasn't ever in a good place.
I am so much happier and fulfilled now. I don't regret or feel remorseful for my teenage years, though I hurt my loved ones, myself, and damaged my health and ability to succeed for so long. That experience made me who I am, and I couldn't have found the man I love, or reached the place I am now.
I like to think I have a positive outlook now, because of my past. More determination and motivation.
