Foster care says i don't exist!!

I've been fighting with them for over a year just trying to get any records they have . When i first reached out it was to get my birth certificate, i mean as a kid i never thought about stuff like that . You would think my file or paperwork would go with me ,from placement to placement, social worker to social worker . So the first conversation i asked for my records and gave them my name ,the response was e mail a copy of my birth certificate, my response, uh that's what I'm asking you for !! Well we can't release any information without proof of who you are ..so again i told them they have all my paperwork! Same response. By now I'm pissed so i hung up .But i really need things like my birth certificate to do anything, can't get ss card or anything. So i tried again and finally got someone to listen ,gave her my name and like 20 minutes later she tells me they have no records for that name . I'm like lady i spent 14 years in your damn system ,no records? Well sir are you sure that's the correct name ? It's the only name i have lady ! So i ask can you check if any of my fosters have that last name maybe i just picked it up,well sir i can't do that because we don't have any records . So now i don't even know for sure what my damn name is . I gave her a couple of the foster families names but they can't release any info on the fosters . I give up guess I'll just live under the radar like i don't exist

Can u contact the foster families? If you have their names. Or yes you will need a social worker to assist you. Further depending what state you live in the vocational services department might be able to assist. Do you know any details? Did you attend k-12 school of any kind? Those schools should have some record of you.

@exchrist The fosters that i remember I'd rather not ever deal with again. I did attend lots of schools but the ones i contacted have the wrong info according to foster care.

e best bet do u know your birth name or at least the dtate and\or county you were born in?

@exchrist That's the problem all i know is what i been told by people i don't trust. The name i use isn't in the foster data base, i don't know where i was born . After 14 years in foster who knows what happened to any paperwork, the foster system is a joke we were throw away kids . Social workers were supposed to come and check on us but that hardly ever happened if at all. I was told my parents died when i was 4 and entered the system but who knows if that is even true. I'm waiting on a ancestry dns kit to see if they can find anything

@kodiac last ditch effort and this is a longshot. . . Though you dont consciously remember, your brain was working, observing, and recording from the moment you were conceived and definitely since the moment you were born. Therefore, a hypnotic session might be able to extract details that could provide pivotal information as part of your search. Therefore contact a hypnotist. It might work.
