What’s something that made you believe that a friend was rich when staying at their house when you were younger?

This was not at my friend's house, but at college. My roommate's parents came to visit her and they took us both out to dinner, and her father was trying very hard to get me to order the steak (I didn't want the steak, though). He owned a car dealership.
