hardest pill i swallowed was realizing i meant nothing to people that meant a lot to me

I realized the same thing about a good portion of people who used to be in my life. Needless to say, I cut them out of my life. I had "friends" who acted like they cared so much about me yet never made an effort to spend any time with me, so I would tell the person, usually a girl I was close to and liked as more than friends, I would tell her I'm cutting ties with her and that we're done. I have enough friends, so if a woman I really am into tells me she just wants to be friends, not interested. If you wanna waste my time, I'll cut you out of my life.
