if you walk past someone and they give a familiar 'cough', how should you react

[c=003BB2][i]it happened the other day when i was at the supermarket, some woman who lives near me was walking past me and she coughed in a familiar way and i took offence, but just carried on my way......i struggle with paranoia at times ....i tend to take things personally too.
