I saw them live once. They, and about 6-7 other heavy metal bands, were warming up for Metallica. My boyfriend at the time complained afterwards about it being too focused on satan and negativity. I mean... What did he expect? 🤦♂️
@BarbossasHusband Well like they have this one song about a girl in a school, the main music video is that she's been told that she's nothing or you get the sense that she's like just kind of beat down by life and then she basically gets like powers or something and then has power.
Then a few lines are something like:
I know your soul is not tainted, even though you were told so <3
And so like it kind of changes the meaning where the song seems kind of dark and then you consider what's been said.
Aside from that song, they have another song that's making fun of Evangelicalism and the over the top nature of their marketing and stuff. He's like some preacher and then has a bunch of girls around him and stuff. So to consider the message of it all.
