we come from
different places,
and very different time.

with very
different struggles,
and mountains that we climb.

yet I feel
that I am worthy,
as worthy as anyone.

to have my
thoughts be heard,
and not be forced by gun.

my concerns
and problems matter,
and troubling the amount.

why do you
think me smaller,
why should my voice not count.

you and I
are different,
in many ways I’d guess.

and we are not
the same,
but that does not make me less.
