you never knew me

you think you really know me?
an open book to read?
there’s more to me than that.
you don’t know where I bleed.

you don’t get my motivations,
what moves me, heart and soul.
my feelings complicate me,
but carry such a toll.

you would make me simple,
but the truth just isn’t so.
you’d get my contradictions,
if you took the time to know.

so focused on one facet,
just a single part of me.
the fact you never knew me,
merely sets me free.

@Viper the worst sock thief ever. Ha ha. I got my fiancée, if I need to talk, but ty. Life has largely gotten better for me in many ways. A lot of my issues have resolved at least for now. 🌸
