What's your first impression in real life?

By this i mean when people don't really know you.

The most i have heard for me in real life is, "I found you intimidating until I got to know you."

What's the first impression people get about you?

I have no idea.
People don't tell me.
Often I wish they would.
I bit of feedback would be very helpful.
I think most of the time here in Australia personal comments are considered rude, no matter whether positive or negative.
If you know someone really well and they ask for your impressions of them, that's okay.
But of course, by then it's no longer a first impression.
