My precious mama

I’m sitting here at the hospital with my mama where she’s being treated with an UTI. She’s resting right now and I was just thinking about what an extraordinary woman she is. Being the mother of three children, two sons and one daughter. But in 1968 she lost her 11 month old son to a viral infection. About four years after that she discovered that daddy was seeing another woman. Needless to say they ended up getting a divorce. I remember hearing her late at night weeping in her bedroom. After several months of separation daddy decided to come back home and mama and daddy remarried for the second time. But the “ home wrecker “ refused to let daddy alone. After many phone calls to our home and going to daddy’s work she once again succeeded at turning our world upside down again. This time it almost caused mama to have a nervous breakdown. But being the strong woman that she is she refused to allow the home wrecker to have the satisfaction of knowing she caused it. Even though daddy never came back home mama still loved him till his death in 2018. Mama has always taught us the right way to live. I can only hope that I’ll live to have the quality of character that my mama has.
