2022. Sunshine and pancakes or foreign and domestic trouble?

Give me some grandiose detailed imaginative predictions! [c=BF0000]I see domestically that there will be a movement towards civility as people on both sides of the aisle distance themselves from the extremists. Overseas, I see escalating problems with Russia and China. Iran will be given more freedom to improve their nuclear technology. The Taliban will continue to make a complete mess of Afghanistan and their will be a humanitarian crisis there. Covid will continue to become endemic , but some will keep trying to use it as a political means to and end. There will be horrible weather in Tornado land in April. It will be a busy hurricane season with 16 named storms affecting the panhandle, south Florida, and the southern east coast. The pacific rim and San Andreas will be active, and Los Angeles will experience a moderate to severe earth quake. There is a 20% chance of a Tsunami on the east coast as the weight of new lava causes a large shelf on La Palma to slide into the Atlantic. [/c]

Yes extremism has become less popular, in America and also in Europe. Our hard-core right-wingers have a big problem, as more and more people see the madness in it. Left-wing extremism is essentially non-existent in Europe.

@helenS Interesting. I don't pretend to be an expert, but right-wing extremism seems to me to be on the rise worldwide, or at least worldwide in western democracies.

@helenS I love the French Yellow Jackets. Haven't heard much from them lately. The English EDL had a legit beef in my opinion. I believe Islam and Christianity should stay in separate corners. They are just too much like an identity group. I'm not in to that.
