What are you most grateful for?

My adoptive parents . My first 11 years of existence were nothing but cruelty and misery . Beatings , whippings, broken bones , black eyes , nights with no food , no bed ... and then I ran away and I was saved. They gave me someone to love, something that I desperately needed. They educated me far beyond what public school could have hoped to do . And they changed their lives to save mine . I think they are responsible for all I have accomplished. Though I only had them for 12 short years , they gave me a life time of love and knowledge , and for that ... I am eternally grateful. 😊

My family, my friends, the opportunity to be a part of a fire company, being alive.
