Becoming my father.
Coletracer · M
@PrivateHell That wasn't a bad thing for me once I walked a mile in his shoes. I found out just what a great guy he really was.
@Coletracer mine was a violent, self centered, drunken ass that died in prison. Even his own brothers said dying was the nicest thing he ever did for anyone

@PrivateHell So sorry but I think you are far from being like him by the way you sound.
@Coletracer i was headed down that road and had to learn to pull back. I still have his temper though. But thank you Cole

@PrivateHell If you have the want to... you can do and be whatever you want. God bless!

@PrivateHell Oh nooo! I am exactly the same way as my father, with the temper :(

But I've tried a few new things. So first thing is, there's some trigger that just sets me off. Some part of my brain that's still wired like, if I'm asleep and I've set my alarm for 8:00am and we don't leave until 10:00am, he'll call my name, and then say, "are you up?!??"

I don't flip out on him, but that extreme anger is there. My problem is, in order to get rid of it, I have to throw things. But I finally figured out... I've got several empty plastic grocery bags. So I ball those up and throw them, instead of throwing my keys on the wall, or some other solid, physical object. It sounds so stupid, and childish, but that's how it is for me :( I hate it so much :(
@twiigss mine went way beyond that. I have spent decades working on mine, because when I get mad, people get hurt
