From 'Freedom of Expression' to 'Blasphemy' to 'Violent Protests'. Your thoughts and views on it.

A far-right Islamist political party in Pakistan is protesting against the government and demands the expulsion of French ambassador. It all started last year when a French Teacher was beheaded by a radical Islamic terrorist for advocating the freedom of expression given to French media for publishing cartoons that are blasphemous.

Immediately after the incident this far-right party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protested and urged people of Pakistan especially their supporters to boycott French products and asked government to finish all the diplomatic ties with France. The current Pakistani government requested TLP party to give them some time to think over the issue.

TLP and it's supporters could not wait anymore and they are back to protest. This time they are not ready to fall back. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying to explain to the protestors that expulsion of French ambassador may backfire. It would not only be a loss of trade and business but the entire European Union might turn against Pakistan. Things might become difficult for Pakistanis in Europe. Yet, protestors are adamant and want their demands met before things take a wrong turn.

Far-Right groups be it of Pakistan, India (the current Indian government is right turned far-right fascist), Spain, Italy or any other country in the world; the truth is they only cause problems and wide-spread hatred (be it for minorities, a particular community or for other nations across the globe).

No one knows far-right folks better than me because I got influenced by far-right folks few years ago. I left them when I learnt all they were feeding us were sheer lies and false facts. My family saved me from becoming a Monster! I have criticized them a lot in my other posts.

@pianoplayingsteve 'Far-Right' folks are in every community and country.🙂

@SoLeRiMix Not according to whenever it's convenient for the far left. I rememeber when a gay pride march went past a muslim community. It suddenly became "far right", but when it crossed churches it was "love and tolerance".

@pianoplayingsteve This is exactly what I have been saying. Both sides need to sit and discuss the issue peacefully. I think, a healthy discussion can help them reach a good conclusion. Both sides need to understand each other.

@SoLeRiMix See my previous posts. I dont identify with either side as I like to draw good ideas from all walks of life. But typically when I talk to someone on the "right" they give me data, stats, experience etc and are generally very respectful, charitable and even offer to help me with things. But typically when I ask questions to people on the left, they dont have any answers or facts for anything, they dont know why they beelieve what they do. It's just "well those that disagree are -negative label-" and it just turns into them throwing some label at me, treating me awfully, just for questioning the slightest detail. The left is the issue when it comes to not being able to have a dialogue, majorly. Coming from someone who traditionally has sympathies for any left leaning ideas.

@pianoplayingsteve Just like you even I believe in blend of different political ideologies. I completely respect your view-point. This is exactly how a democracy works. Both sides should get a chance to express their views. Enforcing your view-point (be far-left, left, centre, right or far-right) on people is completely unacceptable. People should listen to each other and try to conclude something acceptable to everyone.

For example:

I support Far-Right's idea of not allowing Muslims (especially women) to wear their ethnic outfits (veil, borqa and hijab) in Europe. At the same time, I disagree with them for treating every Muslim as a terrorist.

Muslims need to understand that their orthodox religious beliefs and Sharia law holds no place in European nations. European nations need to understand that blasphemous articles should be stopped because they are disturbing and do hurt feelings and emotions (religious sentiments) of a community. Together, both sides can agree to each other.
