Would you rather buy a piano or a new phone?

A piano, no contest.

A piano, but I'd probably want a Steinway D, so that might be more apt if I wanted a Porsche or a Piano. For the price of an iPhone or a Galaxy fold, I'd take the phone.
@toddr13 I have a B, want to add a sweet A, and a D. However, I need more area and, as you know, you need the length plus a bit more (for the artist bench and the artist...), so, for my B, you need about 10', ~12' for the D, minimum.

Would be looking for a NY or Hamburg Steinway?

@SomeMichGuy Very nice! I prefer the lacquer finish of the New York Steinway, modern Steinways, though I do like the slight sound variances between the two, appreciating each.
Piano, any day. A Steinway sweet A...

There was a long Steinway A--called a "sweet A"--which was killed off because it was siphoning off sales of the Steinway B. To understand this better

Model Nominal Length
D 9 ft.*
C 8 ft.
B 7 ft.*
A 6 ft.

The 2 grand models marked with an asterisk are the ones still available through NY Steinway & Sons.
New phone, I can't play the piano.

Definitely a piano

I already have a Yamaha upright and an old Roland A-90, so it's a phone for me.
