I'll tell you things I wish someone told me before.

1) It's okay to say no.

2) You deserve to feel safe. You should feel safe. If you don't feel safe, something is wrong. Do something about it.

3) Children, love your mom and dad. They may seem like superman and superwoman and are your constants now. But they won't always be there. Be kind to them. Forgive them. Love them for as long as you could. Because when you can't... well I wouldn't wish that on you.

4) True good friends would make you feel safe and accepted and wanted and celebrated, not tolerated and certainly not used. If you want to cancel on a hangout just to spend time for yourself, that should be okay. True good friends make you feel like a better person with or without them on your side. True good friends are more than just companionship.

5) Fight for yourself. If you don't, no one will. You're the only one who truly knows what's inside your heart, what you need at that moment when the world feels like its caging you in. Let him/her breathe. He/she deserves to be loved and protected by you.

6) You could teach people how to treat you by what you allow and not allow them to do. Set boundaries and set them clear. It will benefit you in the long run.

7) When you feel too lost or burdened, there's no act more powerful than kneeling to God in prayer.

8) Blood family may not always have the best intentions for you. Be wise and very selective of who you listen to.

9) You'll be okay. It may take a while. A long while. But you'll get there. Just don't give up. Not on you. Not on who and what are important to you. You are stronger than you think.

P.S. You and I are living different lives. Some of you may have come from broken or abusive families. We do not share the same path. I mean no offense to what you're going through.

But in my life, the road I've been through and are going through, these are the things that contributed to who I am now. :)

Both 3 and 7 are riddled with errors.

@FlowersNButterflies My experiences may be different from yours. But in my life, those are the things I learned along the way.
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
They are painful reading for people who had evil experiences with both. @Casheyane

@FlowersNButterflies 3 I can understand. Why 7 though? Bad experience with God or with religious people? You don't have to answer. I just got curious.

Yes. Religion is an evil in the world, people kill over it. 4,000+ in the world, they all claim to be the true one, they clash with science, claim to know things they do not and cannot know, they often hide great evil like sexual abuse against children and other church members. Hypocrisy and holier-than-thou attitudes, imbuing the gullible with fear, taking in money often from people who can't afford to give, parents forcing their own confusions on their kids, leaders in mansions with private planes, mansions and yachts rather than helping the poor and needy to rise up.

Cults everywhere. Shaming everywhere. Shunning everywhere. The Spanish Inquisition, the Salem Witch Burnings, the Jim Joneses and David Koreshes and Charles Mansons...

And for nothing. Religion is evil. One can learn more without religion suppressing them, holding them down in place so the hierarchies can milk their flocks like the mormons with a recently discovered $100 billion dollar account publicly revealed recently, while their members create religious doctrines to entrap others with huge families (future religious drones), involvement with taking over others in government like the "talibangelicals" in the USA, trying to impose their beliefs on others while being the worst offenders of all. Misogyny! Institutionalized racism. Xenophobes.

Example: https://www.christianpost.com/news/70-of-women-who-get-abortions-identify-as-christians-survey-finds.html

Example: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/investigations/article/All-too-often-Southern-Baptist-youth-pastors-13588292.php

Example: https://www.etinside.com/top-15-richest-pastors-america-promise-1-will-shock/

So many examples! Never give your life to a cult... and they are ALL cults. When raised in a cult, abnormal seems normal.

It is all about money, power and control. All are unnecessary. And zero proof to any of them - handling poisonous snakes and drinking poison and surviving drinking poison are not evidential... just Barnum & Bailey stuff of frauds and con men.

Religion must die if we are to experience real love and peace in the world.

And, when rejecting it for the fraud it is, you hear, "I'll pray for you". Or "I feel sorry for you, Satan is having his way". Priests in the catholic church are admitting heaven and hell are myths. And for those of us who are multidimensional reincarnationists, it is all so sad that people embrace fraud and fear as a way of life.

They need to observe my no trespassing signs, because I don't forgive them their trespasses, and stealing away my precious time against my will with their childish nonsense. So, when people tell me they are with a church, I do not respect them, and believe them to be warped and confused.

@FlowersNButterflies I don't go to church. But I love God.

I've learned that religious people can fail you. People often do, even pastors. But when you do good, when you be kind, when you love...the God of heaven and earth is worthy of my trust. My relationship with God is higher than my relationship with the church who claims to know Him.

People sees what you do and say. God examines the heart.

You do not have a god, but you were taught dogma. You only feel safe as a [forever] "child" of a "father in heaven". USA is now 30% non-religious, and all less religious countries have better social standards than the superstitious ones. @Casheyane
@FlowersNButterflies i never realky fitted into the Christian lifestyle. I dudnt find people any better there than outside the church. Same cliques. Same fakeness. I dont fit into anyones mould, even felliw Atheists. BUT id rather just accept science and logic anyday. I dont need a God to love me or a Messiah that came fir misfits like myself...
FlowersNButterflies · 61-69, F
You are not a misfit. People exist on a bell curve, and there are far more not-too-bright people out there than at top of the bell curve. It is harder to fit in with society members who are confused and yet believe themselves to be more than they are. You have read of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome?

There are leaders and followers. Always best to be a leader even if only of oneself. @AFreeThinker81
@FlowersNButterflies oh! No! Its something i should look up! Thank you! And thanks fir nit thinking im a misfit. I stilk have a liw opinion of mysekf but im working on it 💙💜🌷

You have not discovered yet how much value you have. People need to hear what you have to say. @AFreeThinker81
@FlowersNButterflies thank you so much again! 😊
