Anyone else struggling in life financially?

At 31 I still live with my parents and have about $2000 to my name. How I got to this point is a long story. I have a decent job and just got a promotion so will be making more money starting January. I Plan to budget my finances and just save like crazy to get my own place in a few months. I have friends and younger people I know who are doing amazing and living a great life. Though I am a bit jealous, I try not to let it get to me. I know I f**ked up my life and wasted many years, opportunities, talents and money, but I am still young and have a lot offer. Just have to forgive myself for my past and keep pushing forward. I feel my only issue is I spend money recklessly To anyone who is struggling, just keep pushing forward. People seem to have it all on social media. But most of the time, it's just smoke and mirrors.

No but lots of people are so don't stress about it. Just do what you can do.

I agree with you. But you gotta realize that actions only come after thought. Some people who you might consider more successful haven’t walked a mile in your shoes. Maybe if those successful people had walked a mile in your shoes they would have just as hard of a time as you. Other people’s perspective on how you should live your life or how you should’ve done it is just that, THIER PERSPECTIVE. Knowing the path and walking the path are two different things. I can say doing drugs is a stupid choice but if I’ve never done drugs or been in their shoes then I don’t really understand what sparked the catalyst to begin with. I for one would’ve never sought out alcohol if my father never had anger issues. Walk a mile in my past and you’ll see why I picked up the bottle.

@HermannFegelein Thanks for sharing that, really appreciate that. I 100% agree with you. People often ask me why I drink so much. I say the same thing, if you lived my life you would understand. Wish you the very best.

I'm not but only by a stroke of luck. My job gave me an opportunity to learn to code, and it's pretty much saved my career this year. If not for that, I'd be unemployed like most people in my sector atm.

Now, more than ever, "learn to code" is slogan to live by. Everything is going digital fast

@plungesponge That's good to hear, I work as a graphic designer so I have been able to work remotely. Just been bad with saving. I am trying to learn to code. You're 100% right, things are going digital.
