If a girl or a guy is too sweet to you, would you hate it or like it?

The only thing that matters is honesty and mutual respect and good will.

If someone is sweet and it's a ruse for seduction, then it's as disgusting as saccharin.
If someone is always a yes-person, always people-pleasing and not being honest, and doesn't operate from a sense of balanced equality, they are not going to be successful in relationships.
Equally, someone at the other extreme who is inconsiderate and domineering will be just as unsuccessful.
Both types will end up rejected.

@hartfire true, but sometimes if you genuinely love someone a lot, you want to express that affection in the context of a mutual relationship. I guess it depends how one is being sweet and to what lengths they are going. A lot of grand gestures seems in genuine, but wanting to spend a lot of time with someone and supporting them to be happy, wanting to give hugs and surprise them now and then. I feel like that’s okay.

@hartfire so in short
Being too sweet is not good
@Number5 Only if it's fake, not sincere.

@Number5 yup. I have genuinely wanted to do that for some people. I am a very loving sweet person. It’s in my nature. I do think you could go overboard and you shouldn’t do it if it’s fake. But it really depends on context and the situation I guess. You shouldn’t do it if it’s not reciprocated
