Sometimes I wish my dad drank

Believe it or not my dad is nicer when he’s drunk. This totally goes against the drunken dad stereotype but my father is mean when he’s sober. The situation was actually reversed in my house. I used to drink everyday just to numb myself from his rage. The guy needed anger management classes or something. Ever since I’ve left I rarely pick up the bottle anymore. Anyone else feel the same way? I feel like I can’t relate to anyone.
