I expect not to have to carry the conversation. Too many dead end responses, like "yeah" or "lol" and that quickly becomes the amount of effort I put in to my responces as well.

how should you react to someone who is reluctant to interact with you

but you see that person willingly interact with others and enjoy it, yet, it's like they behave they wouldn't touch you with a 12 ft bargepole? how should you react to that? without getting really angry?
