Why is a prayer always directed to a male recipient 'meat body' type vessel ?

Why is that when someone starts a prayer (especially someone subscribing to Catholification), they say 'our father' instead of 'our mother'? Why is a gender even associated with the Sky Fairy if you choose to believe such a thing manifests itself in humanoid form?

Depends on the religion. Christianity uses our father. Other religions are different. Hinduism has numerous male and female deities. Mystic Judaism views divinity as a union and transcendence of male and female. Modern day paganism may start a prayer with "Great Mother, Great Father..."
