At what age do people not get protected/defended anymore by their parents?

As in confronting those who treated their kids badly or such?

@SW-User I always feared women to suddenly interpret my approach as sexual harrassment and make their fathers rant at me for what they actually just assumed me to have done wrong. I mean eversince metoo there had been men going on dates and at the end of each date call their ladies up to ask if everything was alright for them.

@FairyGirlGemma I've had friends actually never tell me off, despite what my apparently rather paranoid father proclaimed.
