Not without telling them. That's just as immoral as not feeding them when you can.

Maybe we should genetically modify people to eat less
@meJess Now that鈥檚 a total mindf*ck, right there. 馃

With appropriate regulation.

@MarmeeMarch That's not what I'm doing, you insufferable cretin.

Just admit, you only like GMFs because you heard they were dangerous and hope they will kill as many brown people as possible. We know you jack off to photos of starving kids.

I think some things are okay. But other things like adding terminator genes that make plants sterile when certain chemicals are added in order to protect "patents" is just stupid. Way too much potential for being able to weaponize such things. Like spread the genes to your enemies crops then release the chemical to kill off their food supply. Yeah... No.

In general, too many unknowns.

The reason behind most common foods being considered safe is that our ancestors have been eating them for centuries and thus there's a pretty good chance that they are still safe to eat now.
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
No, because it might affect the food in a bad way.
RoxClymer41-45, M
@HairbrushDiva you do realize people have been genetically modifying plants for centuries, right?
HairbrushDiva31-35, F
@RoxClymer Maybe, I'd just rather not think about it.

So much wrong with GMO's I don't know where to begin so I will just leave this here.

raysam36331-35, F
What do you consider genetically modified? Technically crossbreeding and selecting certain seeds over another is genetic modification. Farmers have done that for thousands of years. Now if you merely mean lab-created through microbiological means, that's different.

I don't even like to think about it!馃槼 I got some bananas that never got rip, other fruit that looked fine but was rotten in the middle and the list goes on. Then I think if it's modified what about the nutritional value?!
Elessar26-30, M
More yes than no. The problem is that you might create a dominant cultivar/variant of something that will eventually prevail on all the others, and you would screw biodiversity.

So we all know about GMO....i just found out that corn is the most sprayed with glyphosate...apparently toxic to humans....so even our vegetables are getting metamorphosed...(;

There鈥檇 be lots of food if we stopped feeding so much of it to animals and then eating those animals.
