Do you think defunding the police makes sense?

I personally don't know where I stand on this. Where I'm from I know cops that abuse the system to fatten their pensions. None of my business though.

But at the same time if money was taken away from police departments where would they go? Would that affect the quality of policing in neighborhoods?
